Halfway to St. Patrick’s Day Irish Festival

6 months out from St. Patrick’s Day, The Irish Network DC hosted a wonderful celebration at Wunder Garten in Washington DC. As part of this, the Michael Collins Gaelic Football Club was invited to share information about the sport, the club’s history, and the wonderful connections we have made with other Irish and Irish-American communities in the DC/MD/VA area.
End of Season Banquet

The 2025 Mid-Atlantic Champions gathered at Murphy’s Grand Irish Pub in Old Town Alexandria to celebrate a season full of brotherhood, growth, and victory. The lads were joined by family and friends for a great meal (and maybe a few pints). Congratulations to the team for an amazing season, and thank you to our sponsor, Murphy’s, for the hospitality!
USGAA Nationals
August 15–17, 2025
The Michael Collins GAA lads trekked up to Philadelphia, PA to compete in the 2025 USGAA National Finals. The gents in green commandingly won the quarter-final match before unfortunately falling in the semi-finals after a hard-fought battle. Congratulations to all of the players for an outstanding season and impressive showing at Nationals!

Michael Collins Wins the Mid-Atlantic Division!
August 2, 2025
Michael Collins GAA traveled to Bethesda, MD, to battle Baltimore Bohemian and the Washington DC Gaels for control of the Mid-Atlantic Division. After beating Baltimore in the first game, the Michael Collins lads muscled out a 1-point victory over the Gaels to become back-to-back divisional champs!
Matchday in Richmond, VA — July 19, 2025
Decked out in brand-new alternate kits, Michael Collins GAA went down to Richmond, VA to play 2 matches. The team beat Baltimore Bohemian in the first match and then battled the Washington DC Gaels to a tie in the second.
Michael Collins Home Annual Tournament — June 26, 2025
Michael Collins GAA hosted the second annual Old Town Classic Men's Gaelic football tournament at Bishop Ireton High School in Alexandria, VA! Teams travelled from Baltimore, Pittsburgh, and Washington D.C. to participate.
Season Kickoff and Club Social — April 6, 2025
The players, friends, and family of Michael Collins GAA kicked off the 2025 season with pints, great food, and lively music at Murphy’s Grand Irish Pub in Old Town Alexandria.
